Offer teachers professional development credits through hosted workshops and courses

A school, district or organization can request that credit be awarded through Elevate Teacher Professional Development at University of Idaho for trainings and workshops they provide to K–12 teachers. This partnership allows teachers to engage in local professional development while earning graduate-level, non-degree credit through U of I.

Courses are offered at $50 per credit, and first-time Elevate Teacher PD registrants receive a complimentary $200 that can be applied at checkout. Each graduate-level, non-degree semester credit corresponds to 15 hours of professional learning, which includes a combination of facilitator-directed and/or self-directed work.

Indigenous Knowledge for Effective Education Program (IKEEP) hosts a faculty summit on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Pitman Center. Speakers provided tools and strategies for faculty to Indigenize their education coursework through reciprocal relationships with tribes, and build ongoing and reflective practices toward critical consciousness.
