Outreach
Outreach in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences
At University of Idaho’s College of Education, Health and Human Sciences (EHHS), outreach is about building connections that strengthen schools, promote health, and support communities across Idaho. Our programs bring together educators, students, families, and partners to create meaningful change.
EHHS outreach includes initiatives such as:
IKEEP (Indigenous Knowledge for Effective Education Program): Preparing and supporting Indigenous teachers to serve their communities.
QUEST: Expanding STEM opportunities for Idaho students through hands-on learning and innovative teaching.
Safe Routes to School: Promoting safety and wellness by helping children walk and bike to school more safely.
IMPACT (Idaho’s Model Paraeducators Advancing to Certified Teacher): Strengthening physical activity and health education through community-based initiatives.
ROCON: Supporting rural schools and communities with resources, training, and collaboration.
IBC (Idaho Building Capacity): Partnering with school and district leadership to create collaborative, data-driven sustainable systems that promote student achievement.
Together, these initiatives prepare students to lead, support educators in the field, and create healthier, stronger communities. Explore how EHHS outreach is making a difference — and how you can get involved.
