Honor Cords for Graduation

Honor cords are free to wear during graduation
Honor cords are free for graduating students.

In recognition of their military service to the United States of America, the University of Idaho honors its veterans by authorizing them to wear a red, white, and blue honor cord at graduation ceremonies. Cords are available at the Gen. Amos Veterans Center, Idaho Student Union Building Room 305, and are free of charge.

We are pleased to be the first in Idaho higher education to recognize the significant and proud accomplishment of student veterans as they earn their degrees. Honor cords are awarded upon completion of degree requirements to wear at graduation or just have as a keepsake. This honor cord reflects the deep continuing pride U of I has in our student veterans' commitment, perseverance, dedication, character, and personal and academic success.
