Spring 2021 Commencement

Congratulations! The University of Idaho is excited to honor your accomplishment this May, live and in-person.
Ceremonies will honor 2020 and 2021 graduates May 15-16 at the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center in Moscow. Moscow and Coeur d’Alene-based graduates will be split into six ceremonies to accommodate Idaho Rebounds protocols.
The ceremony breakdown is as follows:

- College of Engineering 2021 Graduates
- College of Natural Resources 2021 Graduates
- 5 p.m.
- College of Graduate Studies 2021 Graduates
- College of Law 2021 Graduates
- 9 a.m.
- Sunday, May 16
- 9 a.m.
- College of Business and Economics 2021 Graduates
- College of Science 2021 Graduates
- 1 p.m.
- College of Agricultural and Life Sciences 2021 Graduates
- College of Art and Architecture 2021 Graduates
- College of Education, Health and Human Sciences 2021 Graduates
- 5 p.m.
- College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences 2021 Graduates
- 9 a.m.
Each graduate will be allowed up to six complimentary tickets for friends or family members wishing to attend the ceremony. Students wishing to attend and receive tickets must RSVP through the “Ceremony Reservation and Hometown” link on VandalWeb by Monday, May 3, 2021. Students from the class of 2020 students will receive additional communications in the event they are unable to log into VandalWeb. Additional information on how to obtain tickets will be sent out the week of April 5. Any remaining tickets may be picked up at ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center Will Call the day of the event.
Kibbie Dome Entrance Policies
Face coverings are required for all Kibbie Dome guests. All entrants to the dome must pass through a thermal imaging scanner and/or have their temperature checked. All entrants must also adhere to the university’s clear bag policy.
Get graduation questions answered during the 2021 Virtual GradFair, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, March 23-24, on Zoom.
Order regalia online by Wednesday, March 31.
The Moscow ceremonies will be streamed live at uidaho.edu/live.
Outdoor ceremonies are also being planned for Boise and Idaho Falls-based graduates as follows:
- Boise: Tuesday, May 18, 7:30 p.m. at the Idaho Botanical Gardens
- Idaho Falls: Wednesday, May 19, 4 p.m. at Idaho Falls Center grounds
Mask and social distancing protocols will be in place at Boise and Idaho Falls ceremonies. No tickets will be required for center ceremonies. In the event of inclement weather, please watch the Commencement website and your Vandal email for additional information.
Updates/Information for Graduates
Graduates should watch your emails for any change or updates as the semester progresses. Any change will also be posted at uidaho.edu/commencement. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make adjustments to accommodate as many people as possible at the Spring 2021 ceremonies while adhering to COVID-19 safety protocol and regulations.
Clear Bag Policy: Beginning Jan. 1, 2020, the University of Idaho has implemented a clear bag policy for all events in the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center and for events on the Moscow campus with 500+ attendance. This new policy is intended to improve and maintain public safety and event security and to improve bag check efficiency at events. Learn more about the Clear Bag Policy.
Bag Checks: The University of Idaho is committed to continual improvement of our events and the safety and comfort of our guests. In the interest of enhanced safety, we will be conducting bag checks at all the entrances for the Moscow spring commencement ceremony. NO BAGS will be permitted for graduating students.
Firearms and Weapons: Individuals, including concealed carry permit holders, may not bring a firearm into the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center, Memorial Gym or the Bruce M. Pitman Center. The university has posted signs that specify this restriction as set out in Idaho Code Section 18-3309 (2). [ed. 1-15]. Additionally, university policy prohibits weapons of any sort (to include knives) being brought into the Kibbie Dome.
Tobacco and Alcohol: The University of Idaho is a tobacco-free campus; the use of cigarettes, e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco is not permitted on university property. Alcoholic beverages can only be consumed in approved locations on university property as per Idaho State Board of Education policy.
