The Testing Center (TC) provides a secure, controlled, comfortable and accessible environment for test delivery for U of I students, faculty, staff and community members.
The Testing Center is located in Mary E. Forney Hall Room 301. We are open from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and appointments can be made online at any time. For more information, please call 208-885-5138.
*For Placement testing (ALEKS, CLEP, AvantPlace), test Proctoring, MAT, STAMP or Excel Certification. For other exams please call 208-885-5138.
Testing Center guidelines are to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19 among staff and our testing candidates.
We strongly recommend all testing candidates wear face coverings regardless of vaccination status while at the Testing Center. Our Testing Center is a small space and while every effort will be made to seat patrons apart from other testing candidates, our facility does not allow for 6ft social distance when at full capacity. Additionally, some testing companies, such as Prometric, require face coverings for all testing candidates taking Prometric exams, including those at the U of I Testing Center.
In addition, we ask that you cancel/reschedule your appointment and not come to the Testing Center if any of the following are true:
- You feel ill and/or have a fever
- You have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the previous 2 weeks
Please note: If you are turned away for any of the reasons listed above you will be considered a "no show" for your appointment and may or may not be eligible for a refund of any fees.
