Student Talent Opportunities
Vandal Entertainment knows University of Idaho students are talented, and wants to recognize and promote our students’ skills and passion. We have many opportunities to feature student talent, including spotlights, showcases, and openers. Look through the following opportunities to see which connects best to what you are ready for. If you have an idea, but not sure what opportunity is the best fit, let us know and we will assist in the next steps.
Vandal Entertainment features University of Idaho students and their talents through paying spotlight events and supporting acts for main events. We seek a variety of acts, including live music, stand-up comedians, dancers, magicians, poets, acrobats, and other talents that can be featured in front of a student audience or table side act. For student spotlight events, we seek higher energy and engagement to draw in passing students. We also try to host students who may not have the prospect to show off talents not currently being featured on campus through major or class opportunities, but all students are equally considered. Student spotlights can also serve as auditions for larger events, like Finals Fest.
Compensation: student spotlight performers are compensated for their time performing. Compensation is discussed during the interest and scheduling process.
Contact our daytime events chair with your interest. Please include what your talent is, and a sample if possible.
Club showcases are featured performances by our amazing clubs. Clubs can use this opportunity to display club progress, recruit members, or promote a larger event.

Much like student spotlight and club showcase, being a show opener is a great opportunity to show off your skills. Vandal Entertainment brings in national talent for performances, which allows opportunity for U of I students to open or MC for a larger audience and recognized name and hype the crowd. This includes live performances as a DJ or live music at concerts.
Contact our board with your interest, including type of event and your contribution. You will may be asked to audition as part of the review process.
