Trip dates: Saturday, Feb. 15 through Monday, Feb. 17 (President's Day Weekend)
Mandatory pre-trip meetings: Feb. 5 and 12 from 5-7 p.m.
Location: Field's Spring State Park, Anatone, WA
Participants spend two pre-trip meetings bonding as team and learning about outdoor service and women’s leadership. We depart together on Saturday, Feb. 15 and drive in a van to Field's Spring State Park and stay in the WoHeLo Lodge for three days and two nights. The first day is orientation; Sunday is a full day of service to the park; Monday is a half-day outdoor winter excursion, likely snowshoeing. Evenings will be spent bonding, having fun and developing additional leadership skills.
The park is in a high elevation location and is typically very snowy, windy, and cold. You’ll need proper winter clothing and gear which can be rented from the University of Idaho Outdoor Programs Rental Center. View our recommended list of gear here. All other costs of the program will be covered including snowshoes, food and transit.
You must commit to participating in all of the pre-trip meetings as they are essential learning and bonding times as well as the full trip. You will be charged a $25 fee if you drop out of the program.
