Pacific Northwest Plants and Animals
Hello fellow nature lovers! We are bringing you a new resource for your little learners. These modules are geared for the 8+ year old in your life. Each module will focus on a plant or animal family native to our region.
Great for every kind of reader with loads of pictures. Useful for homeschoolers too!
As soon as a new module is completed it will be posted here and at Palouse Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation.
Module 1: Introduction
The first in a series of modules exploring the at-risk species who call the Pacific Northwest home. Using basic science, history, and archaeology, we unearth the role each species plays in their environment.
Module 4: Amphibians and Reptiles
Are you curious about reptiles and amphibians? Do you know the difference between a turtle and tortoise? Come with us as we explore the archaeology and natural history of at-risk reptiles and amphibians of the Pacific Northwest.
Module 5: Fishes
In this module, we explore 24 species, ranging from tiny sticklebacks to massive sturgeon. We dive into the ancient past of the fishes that call the region home and immerse ourselves in their modern world!
