The University of Idaho Children’s Center (UICC) provides high-quality early care and education for children of U of I students and employees. Families from the broader Palouse community are also eligible to apply, though student families receive priority.

Waitlist

Due to high demand, UICC currently operates with a waitlist. Priority is given in the following order:

  1. Siblings of currently enrolled children
  2. Current U of I student families
  3. U of I employees
  4. Community families

Enrollment offers are made based on space availability in your child’s age group and your scheduling needs. Please note:

  • You will receive email confirmation that your application was received within two business days after submitting your waitlist application.
  • UICC will contact you only when a matching enrollment opportunity becomes available.

Enrolling in the UICC

Once you are offered a spot and accept it here's what to expect:

  • Pay a non-refundable $100 enrollment fee upon acceptance.
  • Complete and return the enrollment packet one week prior to the contract start date.
  • Submit a completed health screening form and provide current vaccination record for your child on or before their first day at the UICC.

Review current tuition rates for detailed pricing information

Note: Enrollment is year-round. Tuition is not adjusted for holidays, illness, vacations, summer breaks or emergency closures.

Required tuition deposit

A $1,00 tuition deposit is required for all children enrolled at the UICC. This will be added to your UICC account on your child's enrollment start date and is payable over the first 90 days of enrollment. Should you choose to remove your child from the UICC, the deposit will be applied to your account once you submit a 30-day written withdrawal notice.

Health screening requirement

Before your child begins at the UICC, a Health Screening Form must be completed by their physician.

Withdrawing from the UICC

To withdraw from the program, a 30-day written notice is required. Your space will then be offered to the next family on the waitlist.
