Any applicant who does not meet the standard admissions criteria, regardless of category, may appeal to the Admissions Committee.
In addition to all regular application materials, students also need to submit the following information:
- A written statement from the student that includes the student's goals, educational and/or professional objectives, an explanation of past academic performance, information and/or documentation regarding any extenuating circumstances, and any other information the student wishes to have considered.
- Three signed letters of recommendation from individuals who attest to the student's academic ability.
The Admissions Committee may grant students regular admission, provisional admission or may recommend that a student attend a community college and earn 14 transferable credits with a 2.0 minimum GPA (see transfer requirements) before reapplying to the University of Idaho.
Important Note: All necessary materials must arrive in the Admissions Office one week prior to the meeting in order to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
