Courses
Part of a year-round educational opportunity that compliments fall and spring semesters, Summer Session gives everyone the chance to fill prerequisites, complete general education requirements, makeup credits to stay on track for graduation, take credits to graduate early, or take classes for personal/professional growth.
Check out the Class Schedule for a full list of offerings and review the Course Catalogs for course descriptions.
Internships
Summer is the perfect time to move beyond the classroom and discover the advantages of an internship. Internships give students relevant work experience, the chance to develop professional skills and the opportunity to make contacts in a chosen career field. All this, and University of Idaho credit, too! Career Services can help students find academically relevant work experience. Career Services staff work with academic departments and potential employers to connect students with an appropriate work experience. They also critique résumés and help students focus their internship search on career-oriented opportunities. Using Hire a Vandal, an extensive database of available jobs and internships, students can locate national internship positions, as well as internships available through companies that regularly recruit University of Idaho students.
Students should discuss their summer internship plans with their respective department and register for internship credit.
