    Services for Vandal students

    The Vandal Health Clinic provides convenient, full-range primary care to help students stay healthy and succeed at the University of Idaho. Our clinic is staffed by board-certified physicians, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, and specialty clinicians who deliver comprehensive, student-centered care.

    Whether you need a routine wellness exam, treatment for an illness or injury, mental health support, or a referral to a specialist, we're here to make accessing quality care simple and stress-free.

    Operating Hours

    The Vandal Health Clinic is open:

    • Monday and Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Thursday and Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Summer hours — Monday-Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    We are closed on all University of Idaho-approved holidays.

    Scheduling

    To schedule an appointment at the Vandal Health Clinic, enrolled students can:

    • Call 208-885-6693 during clinic hours
    • Email vhc@uidaho.edu
    • Visit our office in person at 831 Ash St. on the Moscow campus
    • Use our secure online portal: uidaho.medicatconnect.com

    Education for medical students

    As a teaching clinic, Idaho WWAMI medical students have the opportunity to gain clinical experience under the supervision of full-time clinical physician faculty within the WWAMI program, while providing medical care to the U of I student population.

    Should you prefer not to have your appointment include a medical student, there is a full-time primary care provider available to treat you.

    Vandal Health Clinic services

    The Vandal Health Clinic provides accessible, high-quality healthcare services to support the well-being of University of Idaho students. Our services include, but not limited to:

    • Primary and Urgent Care
      • Comprehensive primary care for all ages and health needs
      • Urgent care for illness, injury, or referral to specialists
      • Coordination of care with established physicians and specialists
    • On-site rapid testing
      • Same-day results for: Strep Throat, Influenza, COVID-19 and Mononucleosis
    • Physical exams
      • Exams for travel, employment, sports participation and academic programs
    • Women’s Health
      • Routine gynecological exams
      • Contraceptive counseling and management
      • Pregnancy testing and referrals
    • Sexual Health
      • STD/STI evaluation, testing
      • Confidential consultations and education
    • Mental Health and Psychiatry
      • Support for anxiety, depression, sleep issues and stress management
      • Medication management and psychiatric evaluations
      • Referrals to counseling and psychiatric services as needed
    • Nutrition Services
      • Individual consultations with a Registered Dietitian
      • Support for healthy eating, weight management, food allergies and chronic conditions
      • Nutrition education and meal planning guidance 

    Insurance and billing

    The Vandal Health Clinic is not contracted with all insurance companies. Before your visit, please confirm that we are an in-network provider with your insurance plan. Co-payments are due at the time of service.

    Insurances we do not accept

    We are unable to bill the following:

    • Out-of-state Medicaid
    • Medicare
    • Workers’ Compensation
    • Automotive Insurance
    • Travel Insurance
    • Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits

    At the Vandal Health Clinic, we want every student to feel respected, informed, and involved in their care. Understanding your rights and responsibilities helps us work together to provide safe, high-quality health services.

    Notice of Privacy Practices

    The Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) explains how the Vandal Health Clinic protects your personal health information and how that information may be used or shared. Federal law (HIPAA) requires all health care providers to give patients this notice, so you understand your rights and our responsibilities regarding your medical information.
