U of I College of Science to host two days of hands-on science exploration April 19-20

MOSCOW, Idaho — The University of Idaho College of Science is presenting Vandal Science Days, a two-day science event scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 19-20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Integrated Research and Innovation Center (IRIC) on U of I’s campus in Moscow.

Vandal Science Days is a free, public event aimed at providing hands-on science experiences to participants of all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in various science activities, interact with professors and students, and learn about the university’s science programs and projects.

Highlights of the event include:

  • Hands-on science activities such as a fossil dig and comet making.
  • Special presentations by faculty members on topics including arsenic usage in beauty products and archaeochemistry.
  • Workshops exploring the intersection of science and music as part of the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, which is taking place Wednesday through Saturday, April 17-20.

Vandal Science Days is a joint project with the U of I Dual Credit Program.
