Fostering meaningful relationships with U of I’s supporters

The Donor Relations team is dedicated to providing a seamless, transparent and engaging experience for everyone who makes a gift to University of Idaho. We promptly acknowledge your support and work to celebrate your generosity in ways that are appropriate and meaningful for you. Our donors can expect clear documentation and accurate reporting about the impact they are creating for an unstoppable future for students, for Idaho and for the world.

Donor recognition

Recognizing the generosity of our donors is essential. The UI Foundation celebrates your contributions through personalized communication, experiences, public recognition and special events in accordance with your preferences.

Impact and financial reporting

Transparency is at the core of our relationship with you. We are committed to providing detailed reports on the impact of endowment contributions and the financial stewardship of gifts. Through regular newsletters, annual reports and personalized impact statements, we keep you informed about how your generosity is making a difference and how funds are being used.

Acknowledgement and thanking of gifts

Every gift, regardless of size, is valued and appreciated, and aligned with the donor’s intentions. The Donor Relations team ensures that each contribution is promptly acknowledged with a thank you. We understand the importance of expressing our gratitude and make it a priority to recognize and thank you in a timely and meaningful manner.

Gift documentation and agreements

To ensure clarity and mutual understanding, we facilitate comprehensive gift documentation and agreements. These documents outline the terms and conditions of your contributions, ensuring that your intentions are clearly stated and honored. We work closely with development officers to finalize these agreements and ensure your contributions are used as intended for the designated program or project according to your original intent.

Loyal Donors and partners

The Loyal Donor program celebrates individuals and organizations who have made philanthropic gifts to the university for 20 or more cumulative years. The program is symbolized by the lamp posts that illuminate the Moscow campus. Like those iconic lights, Loyal Donors brighten the future of Vandals for generations to come.

Silver and Gold Society

The Silver and Gold Society was created in 2010 to recognize donors and partners whose lifetime giving total ranges between $100,000 and $999,999.

Members receive a commemorative print of a rare Camperdown leaf, exclusive communication from the president throughout the year and invitations to special events. The names of the Silver and Gold Society members are included on the Legacy of Leading donor wall in the Administration Building.
