Requirements

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

  • First-year students — students with less than 14 semester (21 quarter) credits completed after high school graduation — must enter directly from high school or home school to be eligible.
  • All scholarships require continuous full-time enrollment at the University of Idaho with a minimum of 12 UI credits.
  • Criteria and award amounts for scholarship levels are subject to change.
  • For admission and scholarship funding levels, an unweighted GPA from a regionally accredited high school is used.
  • ACT or SAT (critical reading + math) test scores are used for students from home school or non-accredited high schools.
  • Transfer students are students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree and have 14 or more semester credits completed after high school.

UI Scholarship: recipients whose home campus site is other than Moscow

Students who receive any other individual UI scholarships awarded on a one-time, non-renewable basis must:

  • Enroll full-time for the term (at least 12 credits as undergraduates, 9 credits as graduate students, and 10 credits as law students)
  • Enroll in a minimum of 6 credits of UI classes for the term
  • Enroll in a degree program offered through the university’s off-campus center

UI Scholarship: recipients on consortium who attend another school

Consortium agreements allow UI degree-seeking students with special circumstances to enroll in another institution for one or two semesters while still receiving UI financial aid and scholarships. Scholarship-recipients who submit a consortium are asked to explain their reasoning Student Financial Aid will determine the student’s eligibility.
