ScholarshipUniverse is an online, 24/7 student scholarship search engine available to U of I students (current and newly admitted) seeking additional monies to pay for college. Students can access the application using their existing school credentials. SU makes finding and applying for external (outside-the-university) scholarships faster and easier. There are over 15,000 scholarships worth millions of dollars available for students in SU!

Step-by-Step SU Guide (PDF Download) — How to Log In and Apply
- Students first create an SU account using their Vandal number and then complete a brief questionnaire to collect information that can be used to match students to potential qualifying scholarships.
- The system notifies students directly through their SU portal about scholarships they qualify for — and then students can apply using the system. Be sure to update your SU profile regularly for quality matching.
- Students can then view matched scholarships, existing applications, and any awarded scholarships through their SU student dashboard.
SU is a private, university-secured system platform. All SU scholarships shared with students go through an extensive vetting process of review before being included in the SU database. Scholarships are updated regularly. For questions, concerns, and/or assistance, please contact our team.
