Teens in 4-H

4-H youth are involved in significant leadership experiences across the state. Teens are leading 4-H clubs, organizing service projects, creating camping programs, mentoring younger members and speaking out for what they value.

Know Your Government

This statewide program gives youth in grades seven through 10 the opportunity to spend Presidents Day Weekend in Boise at the Idaho State Capital and Ada County Courthouse.

They’ll learn about the legislative and judicial branches of government, including hands-on experiences with state legislators and judges.

More Opportunities

  • Teen Opportunities Pamphlet (PDF). This pamphlet outlines the opportunities in 4-H for teens at the local, state and national levels
  • Teen Leadership Project. The leadership project is a project that coincides with being a teen leader within your county. Visit the UI Extension 4-H Youth Development website for more information.
