Small farms in Bonner County
Small acreage farming
Landowners with small acreage farms or homesteads can get help with questions on produce production, forage selection, care of pastures and more. We can also help with soil testing and interpretation.
UI Extension, Bonner County also offers courses through the Cultivating Success program. The vision of Cultivating Success is to increase producer and consumer understanding, value, and support of sustainable local farming systems in Idaho through educational and experiential opportunities.
Class and workshop dates will be posted to our calendar when available. Please contact the UI Extension, Bonner County office if you have questions.
Annual farm tour
Every year on the second Thursday in June, UI Extension, Bonner County and the Bonner County Agriculture and Forestry Committee team up to put on the annual farm tour which highlights the small businesses in our county. Four farms, ranches or other businesses are highlighted each year with a lunch stop included. Reach out to the UI Extension, Bonner County office at bonner@uidaho.edu or 208-263-8511 for more information.
