Piece of Advice for Incoming Students:
College is about more than just academics; it's about the life lessons you learn, the relationships you build, and the experiences you have along the way that ultimately define who you are and contribute to the betterment of your character. I'm not saying to completely disregard your classes, but make sure to live a little and enjoy everything that the University of Idaho and Moscow has to offer. Go Vandals!

Favorite U of I Tradition:
My favorite University of Idaho tradition is Homecoming week. Growing up in Moscow I was able to attend the parade and game every year. After being accepted to the university, Homecoming week has still been one of the things that I look forward to attending every year. The night always ends with a large group of students walking to the pre-game bonfire where the Homecoming court is crowned.

Piece of Advice for Incoming Students:
Get involved with different programs and clubs around the university. Finding peers that have common interests as you will allow for a wide variety of support and different friend groups to be formed. I would also say get to know your professors at the beginning of the year — these are the people that will be the most beneficial if you would ever need help in a course. Later down the road they would be able to write recommendations if needed.

My favorite U of I tradition is homecoming week. There are so many things happening that week, many activities to get involved in, meet other vandals, make new friends and a time to have a blast with your friends. My favorite part of that week is the fireworks at night which is so beautiful and an amazing way to end the week.

Piece of Advice for Incoming Students:
Don’t be too hard on yourself and to get as much involved as possible in campus with clubs or extra-curriculum activities.
