Teach Life Literacy
The family and consumer sciences education option is for students interested in teaching family and consumer sciences subjects at the high school or post-secondary level.
Content areas include
- Early Childhood Development
- Food and Nutrition
- Apparel and Textiles
- Interior Design and Housing
- Personal Finance
- Consumer Management
Completion of this option qualifies you for an Idaho secondary teaching certificate (6-12) in family and consumer sciences and usually economics, health and science (based on selected electives).
- Dual major between the C.T.E. and the Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences.
- Receive an Idaho endorsement to teach at middle and high schools.
