Outreach Programs
ECHO Idaho
ECHO Idaho is an educational resource empowering healthcare professionals in Idaho’s remote or underserved communities to treat complex chronic diseases with specialist-level expertise. Clinicians statewide join ECHO Idaho using video conferencing for one-hour sessions that include brief lectures, case reviews, resource sharing and discussion.
North Idaho AHEC
The AHEC network is a national system of more than 300 program offices and centers developed to enhance healthcare access and delivery in underserved areas. AHECs bring together academic programs and regional health needs in ways that benefit communities and, most importantly, individual citizens.
Office of Continuing Education
The Idaho WWAMI Office of Continuing Education (CE) is committed to providing lifelong learning opportunities for Idaho healthcare teams, with a focus on meeting the needs of our rural and underserved communities. We strive to provide CE opportunities that are needed and desired by our healthcare providers and state through delivery mechanisms that reduce barriers to attendance. Our desire is to enhance learner self-efficacy, knowledge and competence to improve healthcare and health outcomes in Idaho.
Activities sponsored and provided by the Office of CE are determined by research activities and ongoing assessment of the target audience's educational needs. CE activities may include, but are not limited to, interdisciplinary recurring activities (i.e., regularly scheduled series); skills sessions; CME Grand Rounds; and one-time activities (e.g., lectures, conferences, seminars, mini symposia).
