Application and Deadlines

We accept applications for students to begin in the Fall Semester only. You must select a Fall Admission Term on your graduate admissions application. Applications will be accepted anytime throughout the year. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions have been filled for the fall semester. Processing of applications can take 4 – 6 weeks.

You have the ability to save your progress and return to the application. Before you begin make sure you have a digital copy of, your statement of objectives, resume, a copy of the completed area of emphasis form, an official transcript, and three names and emails of references, plus a credit card to pay the application fee.

For students currently enrolled at the University of Idaho:

1. Send a resume/cv and a statement of career objectives to Leslie Dorsey at ldorsey@uidaho.edu.
The statement should be entitled "The McCall Outdoor Science School" and address the following in 1-2 pages:

  • How does the MOSS program support your personal, academic, and professional goals?
  • How has your personal, academic, and professional experience prepared you for the MOSS program?
  • Describe your community living experience and philosophy.

2. Send the names, email address and phone numbers of three professional or academic references to ldorsey@uidaho.edu.

For students currently enrolled at an institution other than the University of Idaho:

1. Send a resume/cv and statement of career objectives to Leslie Dorsey at ldorsey@uidaho.edu.
The statement should be entitled "The McCall Outdoor Science School" and address the following in 1-2 pages:

  • How does the MOSS program support your personal, academic, and professional goals?
  • How has your personal, academic, and professional experience prepared you for the MOSS program?
  • Describe your community living experience and philosophy.

2. Send the name, email address and phone number of three professional or academic references to ldorsey@uidaho.edu.

3. Apply here to the graduate certificate program under ‘Ready to Apply?’

4. Email Leslie Dorsey at ldorsey@uidaho.edu to let her know you have completed the online application.

Application Deadline

Apply by November 1st and receive a $500 housing discount if you choose to live on campus. Student must be accepted into the program and pay their program deposit by January 15 to be eligible for the discount.

If you miss the November 1st deadline, no problem! Applications are considered on a rolling basis until all available positions are filled. We strongly encourage students to apply by January 15 for full consideration. Apply today!
