Programs and Services
From internationally recognized and award-winning school residential programs to University level programming, MOSS uses the stunning natural surroundings of the Central Idaho mountains to actively engage participants in place-based science inquiry and problem solving. Summer programs extend MOSS learning beyond the school year, while our graduate program prepares the next generation of science educators to conduct research, deliver engaging programs in environmental STEM, and become leaders in their chosen field. Located on the historic U of I McCall Field Campus and bordering Payette Lake and Ponderosa State Park, MOSS is a great location for educational retreats, workshops and seminars. We also offer a full slate of wilderness medicine courses delivered by the National Outdoor Leadership School’s (NOLS) Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI).
