Scholarship and fellowship opportunities
Investing in tomorrow’s scientists
At the College of Science, we’re committed to supporting your academic journey beyond the classroom. Pursue independent research, internships or study abroad opportunities with support of fellowships and scholarships that provide the financial resources to help you grow, explore and contribute to your field. With funding sources designed specifically for science majors, you’ll find support to turn your ideas into action and take your education to the next level.
Hill Fellowship
The Hill Fellowship supports undergraduate students conducting research in partnership with College of Science faculty. Each fellowship includes two components: a $1,500 scholarship and a $1,500 research grant to fund your project.
Research is typically conducted over three semesters — beginning in the spring and continuing through the following academic year. Accelerated timelines may be approved on a case-by-case basis.
To be eligible, you must be a full-time undergraduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and actively working with (or planning to work with) a faculty mentor in the College of Science.

College of Science internships and education abroad scholarships
The College of Science offers competitive scholarships each semester to help offset the additional costs of internships or education abroad experiences. Awards of up to $1,500 are available and can be used in either of the two semesters following the application.

You may also apply to the Bruce and Kathy Pitman Emergency Fund for help with unexpected expenses.
