    Experience the best of Vandal life at Parent and Family Weekend

    Parent and Family Weekend is the perfect opportunity for Vandals and their families to come together, celebrate the university experience and explore the Moscow community. Hosted by the Student Alumni Relations Board (SARB), this weekend is packed with exciting events, traditions and opportunities to create lasting memories with your student.  

    At Parent and Family Weekend, you’ll find opportunities to cheer on Vandal athletics, participate in fun activities or simply enjoy time on campus.

    Some events may require you to purchase tickets or reserve spots in advance. Check out the schedule below, choose your fun and make sure to secure your spot.

    Schedule of events

    Saturday, Nov. 8 — Moscow campus

    9:30 a.m. — Friendship bracelet making
    Location: International Ballroom, Bruce M. Pitman Center
    Cost: Free

    Experience the joy of crafting a connection at Parent and Family Weekend with SARB making friendship bracelets. Join us as we thread together memories and laughter, creating timeless tokens of love and friendship.

    11 a.m. — Annual Parent and Family Weekend Cornhole Tournament
    Location: Theophilus Tower lawn
    Cost: $15 per team

    Do you have what it takes to win the Fall Vandal Family Weekend Cornhole Tournament? Join SARB to take on other families. Register your team.

    2 p.m. — Official Vandal tailgate
    Location: ICCU Arena plaza
    Cost: Free

    The official Vandal Tailgate is located in front of the ICCU Arena. You’ll find food by local vendors, music, performances, a visit by the Sound of Idaho Marching Band, Vandal Spirit Squad, Vandal Football players, giveaways, games for kids and more! Vandal Tailgate opens two hours prior to kickoff. This event is free, family-friendly and open to all.

    2:30 p.m. — Joe Vandal statue unveiling
    Location: Between the ICCU Arena and P1FCU Kibbie Dome
    Cost: Free

    For more than a century, ASUI has built and honored traditions. Join the entire Vandal Family to welcome a new one: a larger-than-life bronze statue of our own Joe Vandal, dedicated to the tremendous contributions of ASUI past, present and future. 

    4 p.m. — Football vs. UC Davis
    Location: Kibbie Dome
    Cost: Prices vary. Purchase your tickets.

    Get ready, Vandal fans — it’s time to show up and get loud! Support Vandal Football as they take on UC Davis at 4 p.m.

    This is a matchup you don’t want to miss — bring the energy, bring your crew and let’s pack the stands. Let's show UC Davis what Vandal pride looks like!

    Friday-Sunday, Nov. 7-9 — More activities to enjoy

    10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Nov. 7-9 — Ultimate Mini-Golf Challenge
    Location: Airway Hills Golf Center, 4811 Airport Rd., Pullman, Washington
    Cost: $15 one round, $25 for all-day access. No tee time required.

    It’s mini golf with a twist. Each 18-hole course presents playful challenges at every turn. Sign up for some belly laughs, good-hearted group heckling and a mini golf experience unlike anything you have experienced before. Between rounds, enjoy food from the snack bar, yard games and more in this lively spot to spend Parent and Family Weekend together.

    10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 7-9— Golf Simulator Family Fun Days
    Location: Airway Hills Golf Center, 4811 Airport Rd., Pullman, WA
    Cost: $50 per simulator, pre-payment required

    Fun for the whole family, Airway Hills’ simulators offer soccer, football, Topgolf challenges and more than 50 golf courses for every skill level. After your games, grab a bite from the snack bar, play a yard game and more. Reserve a simulator or call 509-872-3092.

    6 p.m. Nov. 7 — Men’s Basketball vs. Whitman
    Location: ICCU Arena
    Cost: Varies, call 208-885-6466 or email tickets@uidaho.edu to purchase.

    7:30 p.m. Nov. 7-8 and 2 p.m. Nov. 9 — “Pippin” musical
    Location: Hartung Theater, 625 Stadium Dr.
    Cost: $6-$26, purchase tickets.

    A dazzling, genre-defying musical journey with an unforgettable score by Stephen Schwartz (WICKED) tells the story of a young prince's quest for purpose through war, pleasure and power, only to discover that fulfillment might lie in life's quiet, everyday moments. “Pippin” captivates with its timeless message: the “extraordinary” may not be what you think.
