Fall Theatre Season Opens Oct. 15 with "Macbeth: Alba Gu Brath"

MOSCOW, Idaho — Oct. 13, 2021 —The University of Idaho fall theatre season opens with “Macbeth: Alba Gu Brath” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 24 at the Hartung Theatre, 625 Stadium Drive, Moscow.

Produced by U of I’s Department of Theatre Arts, “Macbeth: Alba Gu Brath” is based on Shakespeare’s classic tragedy of unbridled ambition and violence. Adapted by Master of Fine Arts candidates Rachael Fornarotto and KT Turner, the script is influenced by research into identity studies and sheds light on voices that have been manipulated through history.

Tickets are free for U of I students, $8 to $20 for the public and can be purchased online at uidaho.edu/theatretickets or at the door an hour before the show begins.

Macbeth: Alba Gu Brath” contains scenes of death, suicide and substance abuse and is not suitable for young children.
