Zoom Recordings Move to OneDrive Starting Tomorrow
August 04, 2022
Beginning 6 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 9, all new Zoom Cloud recordings will be sent to a OneDrive folder and deleted from the Zoom Cloud. This change is being made to keep all U of I Zoom recordings secure and comply with FERPA regulations.
You will receive an email titled “Zoom to OneDrive Upload” after a recording has been processed. To access the recording, click on the link provided in the email or log in to OneDrive. Recordings in OneDrive can be shared with individuals or Canvas groups or embedded into Canvas. If a meeting is recorded from a Zoom account that is not assigned to a specific person, such as a general email address like email@example.com, the notification will go to that account’s email. Log in to OneDrive through that account to access the recording. Get more details on accessing and sharing your Zoom videos in OneDrive and learn how to embed a video from OneDrive into Canvas.
