Artificial Intelligence Workshop Survey Is Open Through June 14
June 03, 2021
The Office of Research and Economic Development is organizing a one-day faculty workshop on artificial intelligence. The goal is to identify existing concentrations of faculty expertise in this area and use this information to facilitate new collaborations, highlight areas of potential strategic investment and form working groups around emerging funding opportunities and applications. If you are interested in participating in this workshop in early September, complete a brief 60-second survey. The survey will help maximize the potential impact of the workshop. The survey will be open until 5 p.m. Monday, June 14.
The Office of Research and Economic Development is seeking to involve U of I faculty from three broad groups:
- Scholars from the computational or mathematical sciences who study Artificial Intelligence, including the development of new algorithms, applications or hardware.
- Scholars from empirical or theoretical research areas who currently apply Artificial Intelligence approaches in their research.
- Scholars from empirical or theoretical research areas who are interested in collaborating with experts to apply Artificial Intelligence in a new domain.
