4210 - Curricular Co-ordination with Other Idaho Institutions

Last updated: July 01, 2007

It is a policy of the regents that there should be communication and coordination, at the departmental level, among the public institutions of higher education in the state. Departmental administrators or representatives from the several institutions should meet to consider transfer of credits, articulation of course offerings, and other curricular concerns in programs for students who are majoring in the discipline, nonmajors, or preparing to be elementary-or secondary-school teachers. Coordination of lower-division programs is also called for. The University Curriculum Committee supports the view that interinstitutional coordination is mutually beneficial and that all UI academic areas should maintain contacts with other institutions in the state system, including the community colleges, for the purposes stated above.
