Cooperative Extension System professionals conduct needs assessments to learn about important issues and problems faced by our public in order to fill gaps and design effective educational programs (workshops, curricula, publications, etc.) that meet needs for specific populations (families, crop growers, policy makers, etc.) This publication tells how to conduct four data collecting methods: Surveys, interviews, focus groups and working groups.
