Eat Smart Idaho
Eat Smart Idaho teaches nutrition and consumer-related skills that lead to individual change. Eat Smart Idaho staff help adults with limited resources stretch their food dollars to provide healthy, low-cost, quick and tasty meals for their families. Research has found that when families take charge of their diets and food budgets, they often take more control over other areas of their lives, too.
Pressure canner testing
Avoid over-processing or under-processing contents when canning. Have your pressure canner gauge tested annually for accuracy. Contact the UI Extension, Latah County office at latah@uidaho.edu or 208-883-2267 to schedule an appointment or bring your canner lid and drop it off for testing.
