No matter where employees work or what they do, it is essential they are able to recognize hazards and have a clear understanding of the safe work practices and procedures they need to follow to avoid injury or illness. Safety Matters is an online safety orientation course that is available for all employees. It should be used to help ensure an appropriate safety orientation is provided to all newly hired employees as soon as possible after their date of hire.
Download our checklist that can be used to assist with and document the safety orientation process. This checklist may be modified as required to make it more relevant to unit-specific needs.
