Commencement is a time-honored tradition celebrating the achievements of University of Idaho graduates. It marks the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, bringing together students, families and UIdaho employees to recognize this significant milestone.
Whether you're receiving your diploma, supporting a graduate or attending as a guest, this event is a moment to reflect on accomplishments and look ahead to new opportunities.
Upcoming Commencement Ceremonies
- The Spring 2026 Moscow Commencement Ceremonies will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
- The Spring 2026 Boise Commencement Ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mountain time Monday, May 18 at the Boise Centre.
- The Spring 2026 Idaho Falls Commencement Ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Mountain time on Wednesday, May 20 at the Bennion Student Union Building.
Preparing for commencement
To participate in commencement, you must first apply for graduation and meet all degree requirements. Unsure of your status? View your degree audit by logging into our intranet site.
The best time to purchase regalia and have your graduation questions answered is during GradFair, held each spring and fall.

Club seating and suites for guests
Club seats and private suites are only available for Spring Commencement in the Kibbie Dome. Tickets typically become available six to eight weeks before the ceremony and can be purchased at uitickets.com.
Spring Commencement
Spring Commencement Ceremonies are held in Moscow, Boise and Idaho Falls, celebrating graduates from each center.
Winter Commencement
Winter Commencement is held in Moscow, and graduates from across the state are welcome to join our celebration.
Future commencement dates
Ceremonies are held in celebration of graduates in December on the Moscow campus and in May for Moscow, Boise and Idaho Falls. Dates for commencement ceremonies at Boise and Idaho Falls are determined annually and posted when available.
