As a U of I Boise student, you’ll have access to a wide range of health and wellness resources in Boise and through U of I’s telehealth (online) services. Whether you prefer in-person support or the flexibility of virtual care, we're here to meet your needs. Our team is dedicated to helping you maintain a healthy balance between your academic commitments and personal well-being. College life can be challenging, and we’re behind you every step of the way.
Student health insurance
U of I requires all full-time, fee-paying, degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled in 12 or more credits and graduate/law students enrolled in nine or more credits to submit proof of health insurance as a condition of enrollment. Learn more or enroll in U of I's Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP). International students enrolled in one or more credits are automatically enrolled into SHIP.

Counseling and Mental Health Center
U of I Counseling and Mental Health Center on the Moscow campus offers telehealth counseling sessions with our team of social workers and psychologists to students at our five state-wide locations.
Additional services available include initial case management assistance, group counseling and access to our workshops and drop-in programs, all online.
To make an appointment with one of our clinicians call the CMHC Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mountain time at 208-885-6716 (press 1).
You also have access to telephone counseling after hours and on weekends 365 days a year through Protocol by calling 208-885-6716 (press 3).
