As a U of I Boise student, you’ll have access to a wide range of health and wellness resources in Boise and through U of I’s telehealth (online) services. Whether you prefer in-person support or the flexibility of virtual care, we're here to meet your needs. Our team is dedicated to helping you maintain a healthy balance between your academic commitments and personal well-being. College life can be challenging, and we’re behind you every step of the way.
Student health insurance
U of I requires all full-time, fee-paying, degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled in 12 or more credits and graduate/law students enrolled in nine or more credits to submit proof of health insurance as a condition of enrollment. Learn more or enroll in U of I's Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP). International students enrolled in one or more credits are automatically enrolled into SHIP.

Counseling and mental health
As a half-time or full-time UIdaho Boise student, you have access to telehealth clinical services through U of I’s Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC). Learn more about CMHC’s team of social workers and psychologists, partnerships and the variety of services they offer.
