Kate Gordon, a leader on issues related to climate change and sustainable economic growth, will talk on the risks and opportunities for Idaho in a changing climate at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, as part of the Northwest Climate Conference in Boise. The talk is free and open to the public. A question-and-answer session facilitated by Marcia Franklin of Idaho Public Television will follow Gordon’s presentation in the Grand Ballroom, Riverside Hotel, 2900 W. Chinden Blvd., Boise. An expert in urban planning and transportation issues will deliver the third annual Michael Kyte Distinguished Lecture on Thursday, Sept. 27, at the University of Idaho at Moscow. Crissy Fanganello is a city builder, cultural transformation and transportation expert and former director of transportation mobility for Denver, Colorado. She will give a presentation titled “How to Drive Success When Innovation/Disruption is the Norm.” Fanganello’s presentation begins at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Integrated Research and Innovation Center Atrium and is preceded by a reception at 3 p.m. Read more
