Prichard Art Gallery
A gallery for students, artists and the community
For more than 40 years, the Prichard Art Gallery has been a place where creativity brings people together. From student exhibitions to showcases of work by regional and national artists, the gallery offers programs that make art welcoming, accessible and meaningful in downtown Moscow.
Shaped by students, faculty and community partners, this revitalized art gallery reflects the creative spirit of Idaho and the U of I College of Art and Architecture’s land-grant mission in action.
Whether you visit, exhibit at or support the gallery, the Prichard is a place where Moscow’s arts community comes together.

Exhibits and events
Our new space is being shaped by students and faculty across campus. Art and design students created a new gallery brand identity, while architecture students in the design-build program and the Idaho Architecture Collaborative are helping bring the remodel to life.
We’re not just opening a gallery — we’re creating a space that reflects Idaho’s creative spirit.
Check back in Summer 2026 for updates on upcoming exhibits and events at the Prichard.

About the Prichard
Founded in 1981 as an outreach gallery for the College of Art and Architecture, the Prichard has long served as a cultural hub for Idaho and the Pacific Northwest.
After closing its previous location in 2021, University of Idaho acquired the former Moscow Police building on Fourth Street to create a new, permanent home for the gallery. The building is now being transformed into a modern, accessible space for exhibitions, events and learning.
Over the past four decades, the Prichard has evolved from a regional exhibition venue for contemporary art into a place for creative art and design research. Here, students and faculty develop, test and share new ideas. Building on this legacy, the Prichard Art Gallery's new home positions it to support art and design in the 21st century.
Upcoming exhibitions, programs and events will create opportunities to engage with and experience art and design firsthand in a purpose-built environment.
