WUE is Expanding

WUE IS EXPANDING

Good news! We’re expanding our Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) scholarship program. Students who qualify for the WUE scholarship program pay only 150 percent of in-state tuition and fees (considerably less than the out-of-state tuition rate).

Starting in fall 2019, the University of Idaho is expanding its WUE scholarship program to qualifying students from all WUE states, regardless of GPA. Participating WUE states are:

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, the territory of Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

If you are a resident of one of the states listed above, see the table to the right to see if you meet all of the other required qualifications.

There’s no separate application or deadline for the WUE scholarship program. Simply complete your U of I admission application to be considered. It’s that easy! If you have already applied and been admitted to U of I, you have already been automatically considered for the WUE scholarship program.

1Housing and Meals expenses reflect the average costs of living on or off campus. Students who live with their parents, non-traditional students or students who have dependent children living with them have cost of attendance adjustments. Other than these situations, a student's living arrangement does not affect the cost of attendance used by Student Financial Aid Services.
2 Book and supply expenses are based on average costs for a full-time student for one academic year and will vary from one year to another.
