Stirring up the future of Idaho food

A new online food science graduate degree gives professionals the opportunity to advance their education without stepping away from their careers. The program combines rigorous scientific training with real-world application, allowing students like Chobani scientist Peter Krell to strengthen their skills while continuing to contribute to their companies. By fostering closer connections between academia and industry, the program supports new thinking, talent development and the continued growth of Idaho’s food sector.

Training tomorrow’s workforce, virtually

Students in U of I’s Virtual Technology and Design program create immersive online environments for partners, including Micron and the U.S. Forest Service. These projects give students applied experience while providing organizations with new, technology-driven methods to recruit and prepare workers.

Staying local, aiming high

A long-standing collaboration between U of I and North Idaho College opens clear pathways to four-year degrees. Students can complete prerequisites at NIC and finish their bachelor’s degrees through U of I programs in Coeur d’Alene. The partnership removes transfer barriers and allows students to stay rooted in their communities while preparing for their careers.
