    Tribal events

    The University of Idaho Office of Tribal Relations (OTR) proudly supports events led by Tribal Nations Student Affairs (TNSA) and the Native American Student Association (NASA) that celebrate Indigenous culture, heritage, identity and community.

    Open to students, employees and the community, these gatherings are opportunities to come together, convey knowledge, share traditions and create deeper understanding.

    The Native American Student Center, in conjunction with the Native American Student Association and the University of Idaho, hosts the Tutxinmepu Powwow 2023 in the ICCU Arena.

    Indigenous Peoples’ Day

    Each October, University of Idaho recognizes Indigenous Peoples’ Day as a time to honor Native cultures, celebrate resilience and reflect on the histories and contributions of Indigenous peoples.

    Through guest speakers, campus events and community gatherings, the celebration invites everyone to listen, learn and show support for Native nations.

    Native American Heritage Month

    Every November, University of Idaho observes Native American Heritage Month with a full calendar of events — from cultural exhibits and storytelling to workshops and performances.

    It’s a time to honor Native excellence past and present, elevate Indigenous voices and deepen our understanding of Native history, identity and innovation.
