The Native American Alumni Group at University of Idaho is a meaningful network dedicated to celebrating Native alumni achievement and supporting Indigenous student success. Established by the Office of Tribal Relations (OTR), the group builds bridges between alumni and current students, strengthens ties with tribal communities and champions efforts that promote Indigenous education, cultural pride and mentorship.

Through active engagement, the Native American Alumni Group plays a vital role in:

    • Mentorship and advocacy: Connecting alumni with current students to offer guidance, encouragement and cultural support.
    • Community engagement: Enhancing U of I’s relationship with the 11 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signatory tribes and fostering strong community-university partnerships.
    • Recognition and celebration: Honoring Native alumni who have made significant contributions to their communities, advancing cultural and educational goals across Idaho and beyond.
    • Cultural connection: Promoting Indigenous heritage and traditions on campus through events, storytelling and alumni involvement.

For more information or to get involved, contact OTR.
