MOSCOW, Idaho — The University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts will present seven performances of the beloved children's classic “Go, Dog. Go!” starting with opening night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at the Hartung Theater, 625 Stadium Drive, Moscow.

Additional show dates and times include:

  • 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2
  • 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3
  • 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4
  • 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9
  • 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10
  • 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11

Based on the iconic book by P.D. Eastman, “Go, Dog. Go!” comes to life on the Fagerbakke Stage with vibrant energy, whimsical characters and a heartwarming storyline that follows the journey of a group of lovable dogs as they navigate the ups and downs of their canine lives. With its universal themes and engaging characters, this production promises to be a memorable experience for theatergoers of all ages.

“‘Go, Dog. Go!’ has been an absolute delight to work on,” director Kate Pemberton said. “It is full of laughter and imagination, and it delights in the simplicity and joy of seemingly ordinary things. It will be a gift to the children of our community to get to experience live theatre of this quality that is truly for them. But adults will also be hearkened back to the wonder of childhood through this fantastical story.”

Musical direction is by U of I alum Christian Reed. The cast features six talented U of I theatre students, with many more working hard behind the scenes to make the story come to life.

Tickets for U of I students are free and $5 to $25 for the general public. They are available online at uitickets.com or at the door an hour before each show begins. Feb. 1 is preview night and all general admission tickets are $10. Runtime is approximately 90 minutes.
