University of Idaho Auditorium Chamber Music Series announces 2026-27 season
41st year of ACMS features award-winning artists and ensembles across four concerts

MOSCOW, Idaho — The University of Idaho Auditorium Chamber Music Series (ACMS) will present four concerts featuring internationally renowned musicians during its 41st season, which begins this fall. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. in U of I’s Administration Building Auditorium in Moscow.
“We’re incredibly excited about this season,” said Eneida Larti, ACMS director and piano faculty member at the Lionel Hampton School of Music. “With legendary ensembles and internationally celebrated artists, this is a lineup that really needs little introduction. We’re very proud to bring these groups to our community.”
The season includes:
- Rachel Barton Pine and Matthew Hagle on Sept. 17.
- Canadian Brass on Nov. 13.
- The Juilliard String Quartet on Jan. 22.
- Curtis on Tour with Nicholas Canellakis on April 6.
“Rachel Barton Pine is the perfect artist to open our season,” Larti said. “She is renowned not only for her performances with the world’s leading orchestras but also for her remarkable musical curiosity, embracing everything from Baroque masterpieces to heavy metal.”
Joined by pianist Matthew Hagle, she brings a program that travels from the lyricism of Brahms to works inspired by jazz and blues.
Canadian Brass, known for its magnetic stage presence and extraordinary musicianship, is a world-renowned quintet whose performances span classical favorites, jazz, pop and original arrangements.
The multi-Grammy Award-winning Juilliard String Quartet is a highly acclaimed string quartet that pairs masterful interpretations of the classical repertoire with a commitment to contemporary music.
“Our students are absolutely thrilled to welcome Curtis on Tour featuring Nicholas Canellakis, whose extraordinary artistry and humor have captivated audiences both on stage and across social media,” Larti said.

Since 1986, ACMS has presented some of the world’s finest small ensembles in the beautiful neo-Gothic auditorium in the heart of U of I’s campus. Four ensembles visit the Palouse each year, performing for the series and enriching the region through school residencies, informal performances in community venues and master classes.
