MOSCOW, Idaho — The Auditorium Chamber Music Series presents its 37th season with a lineup of four concerts featuring regional and international musicians. All concerts take place at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Idaho Auditorium at the Administration Building in Moscow.

  • Thursday, Oct. 19: “Music from the Palouse”
  • Tuesday, Nov. 7: The Cavatina Duo
  • Thursday, Jan. 25: The Jupiter String Quartet
  • Tuesday, April 9: The Lysander Piano Trio

The first concert, “Music from the Palouse,” features outstanding musicians from our region in collaboration with each other. A variety of composers will be featured in ensembles including woodwinds, brass, strings, piano and even tabla drums.

“Chamber music is all about collaboration — working together to make the best possible result,” said Roger McVey, artistic director of ACMS. “This concert (“Music from the Palouse”) gives our region’s excellent musicians a chance to collaborate with each other, while also showing off the wonderful talent we have right here in our backyard. I’m very excited for what promises to be a spectacular opening to our 37th concert season.”

For information about each group, visit the ACMS website.

Individual and series tickets are on sale now at uitickets.com as well as at the Bruce M. Pitman Center box office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and at the door an hour before each concert begins.

Since 1986, the Auditorium Chamber Music Series has presented some of the world's finest small ensembles in the beautiful neo-Gothic auditorium in the heart of U of I’s campus. Four ensembles visit the Palouse each year, performing for the series and enriching the region through school residencies, informal performances in community venues and master classes.
