Sugar Beet Root Aphids: Identification, Biology, & Management

Sugar beet root aphids are well named because they are a common pest of the popular vegetable. They attack the roots, in severe cases reducing tonnage and sucrose levels by more than 30%. Yet few insecticides are registered against them and none for rescue treatments. Consequently, applying cultural and biological controls is crucial. This seven-page, color publication shows you how by outlining the design of an integrated pest management approach.
