Jonas Oatman, a Nez Perce student who came to U of I through Tribal Nations Student Affairs’ Indigenous Nation Scholars Training for Excellence Program (INSTEP), is pictured at the Native American Student Center with Dakota Kidder, program coordinator for Tribal Nations Student Affairs, on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Because drinking water is a requirement for human survival, it is important to know the basic facts so you can maintain your general health. Along with telling you how much water to drink each day, this short publication describes what you need to do to ensure your water supply is safe to drink, including how to clean a reusable water bottle. A handy and printable pdf with all the tips can be printed out and displayed in your home or workplace.
