Targeted Tank MixtuRES-0for Weed Control in Potatoes

BUL-0950

BY Pamela J. S. Hutchinson

April 7, 2022

Managing weeds in potato fields with an integrated approach — using all available cultural, mechanical, chemical and biological tools — is more effective than relying on any single weed-control method alone. But the process is complicated, requiring careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the weed species present in a field, soil characteristics, tillage and irrigation practices, crop rotation, and costs in time and money. This publication helps you to decipher all of these factors so that you can craft your own planned herbicide program using tank mixtures for maximum effectiveness. Various tables and Tank-Mix Partner Choice Charts identify the most useful herbicides registered for weed control in potatoes and which ones target specific weed species the most powerfully.
