Soil and the Environment: A Land and Homesite Evaluation Handbook and Training Guide

BUL-0795

BY Paul A. McDaniel, Anita L. Falen, Maynard A. Fosberg

July 2, 2012

$4 Land and homesite evaluation allows individuals to make wise soil and land management decisions as well as conserve Idaho's most valuable natural resource: soil. The official guide for participants of Idaho's 4-H and Future Farmers of America soil-judging events, this 32-page handbook explains the Idaho State Land and Soil Evaluation Program and how to score a land-evaluation event, introduces the study of soils, defines the terms and criteria used in land evaluation, and provides actual land and homesite evaluation scorecards to help you host your own event.
