Counseling & Testing Center

The Counseling and Testing Center is a multidisciplinary staff that includes psychologists, social workers and a psychiatric nurse practitioner. The CTC has a broad mission that includes mental health and psychiatric services, alcohol and other drug programming, psychological testing, outreach and consultative services, research and scholarship, teaching and clinical training. The staff at the CTC has an unwavering commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion and we strive to offer culturally informed services and programs in a space where students feel safe, heard, appreciated, and accepted.
To make an appointment at the CTC, call 208-885-6716 and press #1. The Counseling & Testing Center is located in Mary E. Forney Hall Room 306. We are open from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST for appointments.

CTC COVID-19 Operations
Counseling and Testing Center is offering both in-person and telepsych appointments (i.e. Zoom or phone appointments) for the spring 2022 semester. If you wish to schedule a new appointment, have questions or need additional assistance, please call 208-885-6716 between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. PST Monday through Friday.
Telepsych Appointments
In order to make telehealth sessions as seamless as possible, it is suggested that you:
- Have access to a computer with a webcam or built in webcam
- Have access to secure and adequate internet connectivity
- Have a physical space for a private telehealth session
- Have a private and quiet location for a private telehealth session
- When using a computer, make sure that your antivirus/antimalware protection is up-to-date
- Turn off all apps and notifications on your computer or phone during your telehealth session
- Agree to and NOT record telehealth sessions without permission from both parties in session
- Be willing to provide (verbally) your physical location, phone number for contact, and emergency contact person, if applicable, to your clinician
In-person Appointments
In-person appointments at the CTC are available for the fall 2021 semester. Those who attend in-person appointments will be required to wear face coverings indoors, regardless of vaccination status, per the university's COVID-19 restrictions. In-person appointments will take place in Mary E. Forney Hall Room 306.
