Engineering and Business Students Win $10,000 at the Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge

Student entrepreneurs won second place and $10,000 after pitching CatheterX, a multi-channeled, spiral-designed urinary catheter. Their unique design decreases the number of catheter-related infections, saving thousands of lives while reducing costs for hospitals. CatheterX started as a senior project with Edward Hall, Elena Tipton and Amy Macias in the College of Engineering. Read more

Jamie Waters Receives Fulbright Award to Cambodia

Jamie Waters, a marketing and marketing analytics student in the College of Business and Economics, has been selected for a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) award to Cambodia. The ETA program places Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to local English teachers. U of I Study Finds Scientific Reproducibility Does Not Equate to Scientific Truth

MOSCOW, Idaho — May 15, 2019 — Reproducible scientific results are not always true and true scientific results are not always reproducible, according to a mathematical model produced by University of Idaho researchers. Their study, which simulates the search for that scientific truth, was published today, May 15, in the journal PLOS ONE.
