The undergraduate research certificate gives you the skills and experience to design, conduct and communicate meaningful research — no matter your major. You’ll complete a combination of core research courses and applied research experiences, gaining hands-on practice with literature review, project design, data collection and analysis, and ethical research conduct. U of I’s certificate programs are not eligible for financial aid or scholarships on their own. However, students enrolled in a bachelor's or associate degree program may apply their financial aid and scholarships toward a certificate if they are pursuing both simultaneously.
